Bear-skin hut

Here is something you don’t see every day – at least not for thousands of years – a bear-skin covered hut. This dwelling was built by the Innu people of Quebec as a recreation of ancient shelters of the region. The skins are real, and if you look closely, you’ll notice some are startlingly large.

August 2011, Quebec, Canada.
