Russian River Rodeo

I posted photos from this rodeo many months ago and many of you reported that you enjoyed viewing those. I certainly enjoyed taking them. This image, from my Rolleiflex, hasn’t been shared until now.

I didn’t get as muddy as these two cowboys that day (although I did catch some flying slop). One of the things I love about my outdoor photography – rafting trips, running horses, vineyards, cows – is that I do get sweaty and dirty, and so it feels all the more like play. It certainly doesn’t feel like work.
